Phase 1 of the High Risk Urban Roads (HRUR) Program seeks to systemically deploy low-cost safety countermeasures, such as pavement marking and signing, at stop-controlled intersections on local roads.

2025 Awardees

The first round for HRUR was launched on October 16^th, and the application window closed on November 21st. In December, final agreements were made with 16 local agencies for 111 locations.

Call for Projects

The next solicitation round is expected to open in October 2026.
