B.R.A.K.E.S (Be Responsible and Keep Everyone Safe)

These teen pro-active driving schools are held throughout the country to help prevent injury and save lives by educating parents and teens. The curriculum suggests teens enroll with basic driving skills in preparation for the B.R.A.K.E.S content which includes Distracted Driving Awareness, Panic Braking, Crash Avoidance, Car Control/Skid Recovery, Drop-wheel/Off-road Recovery, What to do during a Traffic Stop and more.

 NCS DEFENSIVE DRIVER COURSE

National Safety Council Defensive Driving Courses teach drivers to recognize and react to immediate and potentially hazardous driving situations. These instructor-led courses are free, locally offered by certified instructors through the Kansas Traffic Safety Resource Office and available for drivers of all ages. Content provides collision prevention strategies and defensive driving techniques focused on behavior, judgement, decision making and consequences.

WORK ZONE SAFE COURSE

Kansas Work Zone and Move Over Safe Course for Teen Drivers is a free online course taking most people 45 minutes to complete. Certificates of completion are available upon successfully reading all sections, watching every video and answering the quiz questions. Curriculum covers: Kansas Work Zone and Mover Over Safe – What to Expect, Work Zone Safe Behaviors and Work Zone Safe Laws.
