The Kansas Department of Transportation is proud to offer the 31st Annual Transportation Safety Conference (TSC) April 21-22, 2026, in Manhattan, Kansas. The TSC is the signature event for transportation safety stakeholders, engineers, planners, EMS professionals, law enforcement, safety advocates and other allied partners to learn, network and receive qualifying continuing education credits. 

This conference typically attracts around 400 attendees, is offered in the spring and rotates in Northeast and South-Central Kansas to provide ample proximity to attendees. A Law Enforcement Pre-Conference is offered the day before with workshops for the law enforcement professionals only. Attend the full-conference for keynote/plenary speakers, 16 break-out sessions, including regional break-out sessions, and visit up to 30 exhibitor booths.

Program - Transportation Safety Conference | Jayhawk Hospitality

The Kansas Department of Transportation hosts an annual Teen Transportation Safety Conference in the early winter for members of Kansas Seatbelts Are For Everyone (SAFE) chapters. This two-day event provides an opportunity for students and sponsors to engage in transportation safety awareness education and networking.

This conference typically attracts around 200 attendees and rotates in Northeast and South-Central Kansas in general location to the annual Transportation Safety Conference. Teens are involved in the conference content and planning which includes keynote/plenary speakers, break-out sessions, exhibitor booths and hands-on transportation safety demonstrations.

The 2026 Teen Transportation Safety Conference will be held in November, Wichita, KS. More information will be posted closer to the event.
