Kansas Drive To Zero is a statewide multi-organization initiative that aims to eliminate fatal and serious injury crashes on all public roads in Kansas. It leverages resources across hundreds of organizations to influence traffic safety through education, enforcement, engineering, and emergency response. This data-driven, collaborative approach involves local, regional, state, and federal agencies, transportation professionals, public health officials, law enforcement, elected officials, advocacy organizations, the private sector, emergency responders, community members, and more.
Preliminary 2026 Traffic Fatalities
As of 4/14/2026, Kansas has 83 traffic fatalities in 2026 (a 14.43% decrease compared to the same date in 2025). These are preliminary numbers which can change based on trauma and investigation outcomes. Avoid distractions, buckle-up, follow posted speed limits and never drive impaired.
