KDOT works with national and local agencies to provide safety program services for local public agencies with TASK (Traffic Assistance Services for Kansas). The TASK program provides onsite and on-demand traffic control courses designed for local traffic and highway technicians.

The Traffic Engineering Assistance Program (TEAP) provides local public agencies with engineering assistance to address traffic safety and operational issues. This program helps communities by funding traffic studies and analyses related to providing safe and efficient transportation systems in Kansas. 

How to Apply

To apply for TEAP, local agencies need to complete an application form, which includes details such as the city, county, KDOT district, problem description, and assistance requested. The completed form should be submitted to the Kansas Department of Transportation's Bureau of Local Projects, either electronically or by mail.
