Resurfacing underway on K-27
Work has started to resurface a 16.5-mile portion of K-27 in Sherman County.
The Kansas Department of Transportation project will consist of a mill and overlay on the roadway starting at the K-27/U.S. 24 Business junction in Goodland and extending north to the Cheyenne County line. Traffic will be reduced to one lane in areas where crews are actively working and directed through the construction zone by flaggers and a pilot car during daylight hours. Delays of up to 15 minutes should be anticipated.
In addition to K-27, K-267 from I-70 to Kanorado and K-253 from I-70 to Edson will also be resurfaced during the project.
KDOT expects work to be completed by the end of May, conditions permitting.
