Post Date:10/27/2025 9:51 AM

A project to seal cracks in the asphalt on U.S. 400 in Greenwood County will begin Wednesday, Oct. 29, according to the Kansas Department of Transportation.

The work area involves 15 miles of U.S. 400 and runs from the Wilson County line west to the east junction of K-99 at Severy. Work will begin on the west side of the project area.

A pilot car will guide drivers through the construction zone. Expect delays of up to 15 minutes.

The work should be done by early January 2026, conditions permitting. Pavement Pros LLC, of McPherson, has the $353,896.97 contract.

KDOT urges motorists to stay alert and follow posted signs in all work zones.

Check KDOT’s updated traveler information website, https://www.kandrive.gov/, for more highway condition and construction details. For updates on construction projects in southeast Kansas, visit ksdot.gov/southeastnews.
