U.S. 75 reduction scheduled for tomorrow in Topeka

Oct. 10, 2025 – PLEASE NOTE: The pavement striping work on southbound U.S. 75 in Topeka has been rescheduled to take place tomorrow, Oct. 11, from approximately 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., conditions permitting.

Pavement striping work is scheduled to take place on southbound U.S. 75 in Topeka tomorrow, Oct. 9, from approximately 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., conditions permitting.

During this time, the Kansas Department of Transportation will reduce southbound U.S. 75 to one lane from the north end of the Westgate/Kansas River bridge across the flyover ramp to the eastbound I-70/Gage Boulevard split. 

The exit ramp to westbound I-70 will also close for approximately one hour in the midday. No detours will be posted during the temporary closure, and motorists will need to use alternate routes. 

Motorists should plan for slow-moving traffic and allow extra time for travel.
