The 27th Street intersection at K-10 in Lawrence will have intermittent closures during the overnight hours this week, as part of the part of the Kansas Department of Transportation’s South Lawrence Trafficway (SLT) expansion project.
Starting tonight through Wednesday, Oct. 6-8, crews will work nightly from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. to place beams for the new K-10 bridge over the 27th Street/Wakarusa Drive interchange. The work will require 27th Street to close at K-10 intermittently throughout the overnight working hours.
No detours will be posted during the temporary closures, and motorists will need to use alternate routes.
Impacts are not expected for traffic on K-10 and Wakarusa Drive.
All project work and traffic changes are conditions permitting.
KDOT urges motorists to stay alert and follow posted signs in all work zones. For current road conditions, visit KanDrive.gov or call 511. For updates on highway projects in northeast Kansas, visit NewsReleases/NortheastKansas.
