U.S. 400 to close to through traffic in Butler County Oct. 4

The Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) is scheduled to close U.S. 400 to through traffic in Butler County the evening of Saturday, Oct. 4 at 8 p.m.

Eastbound through traffic will be detoured on Andover Road north to 21st Street/SW 70th, east to Santa Fe Lake Road and then back south to the highway. Westbound traffic will utilize the same routes in the reverse direction.

Traffic will be guided by electronic signs on each corner of the detour.

The closure is to set the pedestrian bridge on the Redbud Trail over U.S. 400. KDOT expects to have the road fully reopened to traffic before noon on Sunday, Oct. 5.
