Starting Tuesday, Sept. 30, the northbound Topeka Boulevard exit ramp to eastbound U.S. 24 in north Topeka will temporarily close until late November, as part of the Kansas Department of Transportation’s ongoing reconstruction project.
During the closure, a marked detour will direct motorists east on N.W. Lyman Road, then north on Kansas Avenue to U.S. 24.
Drivers can use the marked detour or alternate routes. Message boards and signage will be in place to alert and direct motorists.
All project work and traffic changes are conditions permitting.
KDOT urges motorists to stay alert and follow posted signs in all work zones. For current road conditions, visit KanDrive.gov or call 511. For updates on highway projects in northeast Kansas, visit ksdot.gov/NortheastNews.
