Two bridges to be worked on next week
The Kansas Department of Transportation plans to begin bridge repairs along K-68 and U.S. 169 in Miami County on Sept. 25.
Crews will be working on the K-68 bridge over U.S. 69 just west of Louisburg and the U.S. 169 bridge over the BNSF railroad about 2.5 miles south of Spring Hill.
Traffic on the bridges will be reduced to one lane in each direction and guided by signs, arrow lights and barricades.
KDOT expects to complete the repairs in early October, conditions permitting. For current road conditions, visit kandrive.gov or call 511. For updates on construction projects in Southeast Kansas, visit ksdot.gov/southeastnews.
