Floor work to close U.S. 400 rest area near Beaumont in October
The Kansas Department of Transportation is closing the rest area along U.S. 400 in Greenwood County just east of Beaumont for a little more than a week in October to repair the floor.
The work should improve the footing for patrons if the floor is wet.
The rest area will be closed and the work in the rest area will begin Monday, Oct. 6. The hope is to finish by mid-October, conditions permitting. For current road conditions, visit kandrive.gov or call 511. For updates on construction projects in Southeast Kansas, visit ksdot.gov/southeastnews.
