Sidewalk projects to begin next month in Norwich, Mullinville
The Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) is scheduled to begin two sidewalk improvement projects in Kingman and Kiowa counties in October.
Sidewalks will be reconstructed with ADA compliant ramps at two intersections: K-42 (W. Burns Avenue)/Main Street, in Norwich, and at U.S. 400/Main Street, in Mullinville.
There are no anticipated impacts to traffic. Project work locations will be marked using signage and traffic cones.
PSE Contractors LLC, of Wichita, is the contractor for the combined projects, with a total cost of $86,500, which are expected to be completed before Thanksgiving, conditions permitting.
KDOT urges motorists to stay alert and follow posted signs in all work zones. For current road conditions, visit kandrive.gov or call 511. For updates on highway projects in South Central Kansas, visit ksdot.gov/southcentralnews.
