Intermittent closures are scheduled to occur next week on U.S. 24 in north Topeka, as part of the Kansas Department of Transportation’s ongoing reconstruction project.
On Monday, July 28, between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m., five temporary closures lasting approximately 15 minutes each will occur intermittently on U.S. 24 at the Soldier Creek bridge while crews move bridge beams.
During each closure, traffic will be fully stopped and directed by flaggers. Motorists should plan for possible delays and allow extra time for travel.
KDOT urges motorists to stay alert and follow posted signs in all work zones. For current road conditions, visit KanDrive.gov or call 511. For updates on highway projects in northeast Kansas, visit ksdot.gov/bureaus/offtransinfo/NENRelese.asp.
