Closure scheduled July 22-26 for westbound I-435 to northbound U.S. 69 ramp in Overland Park

Post Date:07/22/2025 2:01 PM

Full closure of the westbound I-435 to northbound U.S. 69 ramp in Overland Park will begin at 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 22 for pavement work. The ramp is scheduled to reopen by 10 a.m. Saturday, July 26. The work is part of the KDOT U.S. 69 Modernization and Expansion Project (69Express). All scheduled project work is conditions permitting and subject to change.

Traffic will be directed to continue west on I-435 to the northbound I-35 exit, then proceed north on I-35.

The 69Express project includes reconstruction of U.S. 69, widening the highway with added express lanes – one in each direction between 151st and 103rd Streets – and interchange improvements at U.S. 69/167th Street in Overland Park.

Motorists are encouraged to stay informed about the 69Express project. Check 69express.org for details and closures, sign up for text alerts, follow on Facebook and X or receive the project newsletter.
