Resurfacing on U.S. 75 in Woodson County to begin
The Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) resurfacing project on U.S. 75 in Woodson County will start the week of July 28, conditions permitting.
The project will chip seal almost 11 miles of the highway from the Wilson/Woodson County line north to the south city limits of Yates Center.
This project will refresh the surface of the highway to allow for smoother traffic movement. Traffic will be guided through the construction by a flagging operation and a pilot car. Drivers can expect delays of up to 15 minutes.
Crews hope to be finished by the end of September, conditions permitting. Circle C Paving, based in Goddard, is the primary contractor for the $710,000 project.
KDOT urges motorists to stay alert and follow posted signs in all work zones. For current road conditions, visit kandrive.gov or call 511. For updates on construction projects in Southeast Kansas, visit ksdot.gov/projects/southeast-kansas-projects.
The area of the work is lined in orange.
