The Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) has placed temporary signals to control one-lane traffic to continue emergency bridge repair in Bourbon County on the K-7 bridge over Mill Creek between U.S. 54 and K-31, five miles south of Devon.
The extreme heat has resulted in damage to the bridge. Repairs will take less than a month to complete, conditions permitting.
KDOT urges motorists to stay alert and follow posted signs in all work zones. For current road conditions, visit kandrive.gov or call 511. For updates on construction projects in Southeast Kansas, visit ksdot.gov/projects/southeast-kansas-projects.
