Resurfacing to begin July 7 on K-96 in Ness City
The Kansas Department of Transportation is set to begin a resurfacing project July 7, along two different sections of K-96 from Court Street to Kansas Avenue and from the U.S. 283 junction to School Street in Ness City.
Traffic on K-96 will be shifted to the westbound lane and shoulder, maintaining two open lanes during construction. Once complete, traffic will be moved to the eastbound lane and shoulder while construction is completed on the westbound lane and shoulder. Motorists should expect minor delays through the work zone. Signs and cones will mark the work zone.
Morgan Brothers Construction Inc., of Lacrosse is the contractor on this $1.7 million project. Conditions permitting, it is expected to be completed by mid-November.
