Resurfacing on K-15 to begin in July
A Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) resurfacing project on K-15 in Cowley County will start the week of July 14, conditions permitting.
The project will chip seal from the U.S. 166 junction to the U.S. 160 junction.
This project will refresh the surface of the highway to allow for smoother traffic movement.
Traffic will be guided through the construction by a flagging operation and a pilot car. Drivers can expect delays of up to 15 minutes.
Crews hope to be finished by the end of August, conditions permitting.
Circle C Paving, based in Goddard, is the primary contractor for the $514,000 project.
KDOT urges motorists to stay alert and follow posted signs in all work zones. For current road conditions, visit kandrive.gov or call 511. For updates on construction projects in South Central Kansas, visit https://ksdot.gov/projects/south-central-kansas-projects.
