Pleasanton sidewalk project starts next week

The Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) plans to start work on a sidewalk project at Pleasanton on Tuesday, Jan. 19, weather permitting.

New sidewalks will be constructed at the following locations:

  • Ash Street, from 15th Street north to West 10th Street.
  • West 10th Street, from Ash Street east to Main Street.
  • West Lakes Lane, from Pleasanton High School east to West 10th Street.

The sidewalks will be five feet wide. The project includes ADA ramps, drainage, signs, and pavement markings.

KDOT awarded the construction contract of $296,000 to RFB Construction Company, Inc., of Pittsburg. Weather permitting, the work should be completed by the spring of 2021.
