Pavement reconstruction project to start at Parsons
Monday, March 15, the Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) expects to begin a pavement reconstruction project on U.S. 59 at Parsons. The road work starts 75 feet north of Commerce Drive and continues north for 1,420 feet.
Project activity includes replacing the pavement and installing underdrains. Two-way traffic will be carried through the work zone. Mission Construction of St. Paul is the primary contractor on the $1.3 million project. Work should be completed by midsummer, weather permitting.
