All contractors and subcontractors working on a KDOT project must submit their company’s EEO policy for approval before commencing work. Once approved, you will receive an approval letter. 

Each contractor must submit: 

• The company’s EEO policy on company letterhead, signed and dated by the President or Owner. 
• A letter of appointment for the company's EEO officer.
• CFR-49 - New Vendor Request

An Affirmative Action Plan outlines strategies and actions your company will follow to achieve EEO policy goals. An effective plan demonstrates a company-wide commitment, led by management, to diversify the workforce and meet EEO goals. It includes tracking actions through logs, journals, meeting minutes, dates, and participants. Integrating this plan into regular company operations is key for favorable compliance.
